Spring Cleaning Series #1: Spring Into Major New Beginnings

The Sun officially kicked off the astrological new year on March 21st with Aries and the official first day of Spring. You may be noticing this year finally kicking into gear with a lot of change and new beginnings – more so than a typical spring.

As a 1-year in Numerology, this year 2017 launched a brand new slate of energy with a blast of activity. But the manifestation of projects and moves that began in winter are just manifesting in late March through April with the insurgence of the Wood element and the sign of Aries.

Look for projects that have been sputtering to really take off around April 15th when Venus goes direct after taking an in-depth review of money and relationships. Towards the end of April, expect a period of integration of all things that have come to fruition so far this year. Several planets will be taking a backward spin giving us time to do more reviewing and integrating than barreling forward. To see how the transits will affect your Sun sign, check out your April horoscope here!

This year is ripe for new beginnings, new relationships, new projects, new businesses, and new belief systems, making it is more necessary than ever to release any old energy holding you back. Anything past-related that needs to go is somewhere in your home in the form of clutter.

With the warmer weather and feeling of Spring in the air, there’s an innate desire to feel lighter – whether it’s our weight, our clothes, or our home.  It’s the time of year when cleaning, purging, and decluttering no longer feel like a chore, but instead feel easy, freeing, and even compulsive at times.

As new energy pours in with the sun, what is no longer needed or wanted becomes much clearer. What felt like a security blanket just months ago will now feel like a barbell weighing you down.

If you were tripping over old fears and blocks, you may notice them lifting. The energy of lack and fear, which are stumbling blocks to decluttering, are not as loud now as they were in Winter when the energy was about endings and completions rather than new beginnings.

I will be featuring a Spring Cleaning Series blog each week for the month of April to give you tips and insights on the best way to clear out the past to pave the way for the future. To get you started, here are some of my favorite quick tips with more to come in the weeks ahead!

  • Start with easy stuff first, not the emotionally drenched items that take you down a rabbit hole of paralysis. Freeing up energy will give you extra energy later on when it's time to tackle the tough stuff.
  • We all have our vices whether it is clothes, magazines, or papers.  Tackle those areas and then set up rules for yourself to reduce future intake or consumption of these items.
  • If losing weight is part of your spring clearing, then clean out your pantry and refrigerator.  Throw out any outdated items and get rid of any items that do not fit within your diet.
  • Work in baby steps. Instead of vowing to clean out every closet in your home, just set out to clean one. If you finish it, then you will be more likely to want to move on to the next one.

    1. Hi Sarah,
Thank you so much for purchasing my books! I’m sorry to hear about your lack of motivation and hope my books can give you an extra boost. Clearing out clutter, particularly stuff with heavy, past memories, can free up some energy and help you get moving again. Thanks you for posting.

    2. Hi Tisha, i have ordered 2 of your books that are Amazon. Mind and Body Home Transform Your Life one Room , I read some of the introduction of the books. I don’t remember the other name of that book.
There were some things you said that I need to change in my life. I have for over a year just let stuff pile up and I mean really bad. I don’t know if I am grounded or lazy. But something has change in me.I bought a new home the last of January 2017 and cannot get myself motivated or fixing things that need to be done there. I retired 3 years ago. I don’t have energy and don’t seemed to care. I do Care but something is blocking me or I don’t know what to do about it. I truly found your book introduction to maybe be of some help for me. Thank You so much for reading this and please e-mail me back. I will receive the books on May 31th. Thank You again sarah Bell
